Since forming, Cisco College has changed names one time. In 2009, Cisco Junior College became Cisco College. Today there are two campus. The main campus is located in Cisco, Texas. The other campus is located in Abilene, Texas.

STUDENT NEEDS

Emergency Fund

Students experience challenges while pursuing education. It can be a lack of funds due to an issue like transportation or childcare. This fund allows students to seek a small grant to help them through this hurdle.

Scholarships

44.5% of students are considered economically disadvantaged (2024). This means that students are applying for federally funded programs and scholarships to assist with their expenses. Scholarships can be used to address the gap of needs for students to be enrolled at Cisco College.

Food Pantry

The “Food for Thought” Food and Toiletries Pantry operates as a supplemental food resource for Cisco College students, providing non-perishable food items and toiletries. The pantry successfully serves over 1,100 sack lunches and an estimated 800 family members with basic groceries and household supplies.

Athletics

Cisco College offers athletics for both male and female students. Equipment, facilities and uniforms are continuously needed to be able to compete at the college level. Funds are used to enhance the budgets and meet the demands to remain competitive.

Rodeo

Cisco College is a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. The college hosts an annual rodeo competition for the Lonestar Region. Contributions and sponsorships are requested to provide the best rodeo experience for these students.

Agriculture Program

The Future Farmers of America (FFA) Leadership Development Events and Career Development Events are held annually on the campus in Cisco. These events provide opportunities for high school students to compete and experience the campus. A scholarship is awarded to one student annually who has exhibited exceptional capabilities in FFA.
